Registration Policies

New students starting lessons at the beginning of the month shall pay the starting month in full prior to the first lesson. On the 15th of that month, the student will pay for the following month. Then all subsequent payments will be on the 15th of each month going forward.

​New students starting lessons in the middle of the month shall pay a pro-rated amount for the starting month, as well as the next full month. Then all subsequent payments will be on the 15th of each month going forward.

A single trial lesson is available free of charge if desired.
Tuition
Lessons are taught once per week in a private or semi-private class. Tuition is charged on a monthly basis throughout the year. It is a fixed amount and not based on the number of lessons per month. There can be four lessons in some months and five in others. Tuition is calculated with consideration to holidays and seasonal breaks. Other than the starting month, the amount of tuition will be the same for every month. The monthly tuition amount is calculated based on my per lesson rate and also provides a consistent monthly tuition amount. Prices per month are as follows;

Cancellation Policies

Tuition is not refunded unless the missed lesson is a result of my absence, and a make-up lesson cannot be scheduled.

If you know in advance (a minimum of 24 hours’ notice) that you will be absent, I may be able to schedule a make-up lesson, however, I cannot guarantee this service, as providing instruction to other students who are in attendance is a priority. Make-up lessons will not be offered for last minute cancellations.

If the student becomes sick and needs to be absent, please notify me as soon as possible. I will try to schedule a make-up lesson if possible.

15 days of notice should be given if any student decides to stop their lesson schedule. Any remaining lessons that were purchased are non- refundable.
These cancellation policies are aimed to give the student grace where possible, while respecting the time of the teacher and the other students.

Vacations and Holidays
There will be a one week shutdown for Summer break, Winter break and Spring break. There will not be lessons for some of the standard American holidays, which are as follows; New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.

Payment Options
Payments can be made by PayPal or Check. For checks, make payable to “Online Lessons with Jim West”. For PayPal, an invoice may be sent for you to submit your own payment online, or recurring payments can be set up for automated payments. Whatever method you choose, tuition payments are due on the 15th of the month.
